Sullivan West Standout, Maureen Cookingham, Teaching Assistant

This week's Sullivan West Standout, Maureen Cookingham, has been referred to by her colleagues at the High School as the "go-to person...for everything!"  Since 1997, Maureen has worked to support the students and faculty in our schools, beginning as a part-time Bus Aide and eventually becoming a Teaching Assistant.  A significant part of her work is in our High School's Computer Lab, where she helps students to learn how to use a variety of programs.  Maureen shared that working with students is her favorite part of her work.

In addition to her time spent in the Computer Lab, Maureen also plays a vital role in the functioning of the High School, covering everything from Lunch Duty ("the students are funny", she describes), to creating the PowerPoint presentation as part of the annual Graduation Ceremony.  Her colleagues also shared that she is always ready and willing to help with celebrating wonderful events in the lives of our team, and she is well-known for throwing excellent baby and wedding showers!

Maureen describes working in our District as being part of an "...extended family.  Everyone here is so friendly."  Our Sullivan West extended family is happy to congratulate Maureen on being this week's Standout!
