Sullivan West Standout, Linda Hubert, Teacher's Aide at the Elementary School

It is a true privilege to introduce and recognize this week's Sullivan West Standout, Linda Hubert, Teacher's Aide at the Elementary School.  Congratulations, Linda!

For the past 32 years, Linda Hubert has been a Teacher's Aide in the schools of our community, supporting students in a wide variety of roles.  Mrs. Hubert has worked as a 1:1 aide, in Special Education classes, and in classrooms ranging from 1st Grade through 6th Grade.  In each of those positions, she has prioritized the needs of the students as the most important part of her job.  "Knowing that I've made a student happy that day, or helped them work through their problems," is the most rewarding part of her work, Linda shared.  "I love working with the kids, and with my co-workers."

Linda also plays a vital role in the supervision plan at the Elementary School, as she welcomes students arriving off the bus each morning at her post outside of the main entrance.  While she expressed that this part of her job "isn't always so great during the winter", she shared that "it is great to be able to help the students to start their day with a smile."

When she's not at work, Linda enjoys showing off her "green thumb" through gardening, and she also likes mowing the lawn, and of course, spending time and having fun with her grandchildren!

Congratulations and thank you for all that you do, Linda!
