Sullivan West Standout Panava Markao

For the past 5 years Panava Markao has been a 1:1 Teacher’s Aide and Classroom Aide, supporting students in multiple classrooms in our schools. During that time, she has become well-known for her wonderful and positive spirit, and her sense of humor. Panava shared that the best part of her job is “helping people, and being a positive presence.” Panava helps children by encouraging them, supporting their learning, providing feedback on their progress, and motivating them to keep working hard.

Panava indicated that her favorite part of being a member of the High School staff is “...being a leader. We all as individuals have something to give. The ways that we contribute are all different, but all together we make one great big whole.”

When she’s not supporting children in class, Panava loves to spend time with her grandchildren. She also loves to play “Spoons” (a card game) and to hear people sing her favorite song, “Baby Shark”!

Congratulations and thank you for your great work, Panava!
