February 18, 2021 Board of Education Meeting Highlights

  • The Board and Superintendent Walker recognized Elementary Student of the Month Oliva Mathern and Standout D.J. Bertholf.
  • Mrs. Rasmussen provided the Board with an update of the Sullivan County School Boards Association meeting held on January 25, 2021. Mr. Arzilli and Mrs. Meckle provided updates of the two committee meetings held on February 16, 2021, the Facilities Needs and Audit and Finance committee meetings.
  • The Board adopted the 2021-2022 school year calendar. Please CLICK HERE to view the calendar. 
  • The Board approved Business and Finance items as a consent agenda, which included the treasurer’s report, correction of errors, excessed high school equipment and accepted donations from the Liberty, Monticello and Livingston Manor Rotary Club and Henry Umnik Memorial Scholarship. The Board also authorized the District Clerk to unseal and open the ballot boxes from the June 16, 2020 board election and budget vote.
  • The Board accepted, with regret, the retirement resignation from Jackie Peters, Elementary School Secretary.
  • Personnel agenda items which were approved as a consent agenda included an MOA with the WSUT Union and Sheri Parucki for the 2021-2022 school year, appointed substitute personnel, appointed extracurricular and coaching positions, accepted resignations from Dawn Priebe, Latchkey Coordinator and Shannon Umbaugh, Food Service Helper.
