Congratulations SW Standout Amy Kerber

Please join me in congratulating our final Sullivan West Standout for the 23-24 school year Mrs. Amy Kerber! Mrs. Kerber was nominated from more than one staff member for more than one thing. Her first nomination was due to her hard work, scheduling and preparing for our High School Alumni Day! This had been lost for a couple years but she stepped in and helped out making this a very organized day, ensuring every detail was taken care of. More recently she has been recognized as sunshine to our school. Mrs. Kerber took over manning the copy room and mailroom this year and has turned it into a place for staff to share their joys. Photos of babies, weddings and other accomplishments have been posted for all faculty and staff to see. It has given many people something to smile about. She also has been behind the scenes, coordinating and supporting staff recognitions and well wishes .
When I sat down with Mrs. Kerber, it was clear that she does this from the heart. She wants to help others appreciate all the small moments in life. The moments that mean the most.  Mrs. Kerber has been in the district in various rolls for around 11 years. She has worked in the Elementary School and Middle-High School in many classrooms supporting many students with different needs. She has enjoyed herself in those classrooms, witnessing some of our best teaching and even re-learning some courses herself. Outside of school she enjoys gardening, mowing the lawn and time with her family.
Sullivan West is fortunate to have Mrs. Kerber here spreading cheer and giving joy to others. Thank you for making Sullivan West a great place to be.
Congratulations Amy!!
