hi I'm Evan welcome to the last video Club broadcast of the year this week we will bring you did you know and we also have special guests Ethan and Ryan bringing you bad joke theater but first the news the 25st is kindergarten registration day from 9:00 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. and it is also trout release day the high school's blood drive will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria and the Board of Education meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the high school library on Thursday May 22nd the high school art trip to New York City will take place the bosses career and Tech Honor Society induction will also take place at 6:00 p.m. at the Fallsburg High School the elementary school concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the High School auditorium May 23rd and 26th there will be no school for the give back day and Memorial Day the high school marching band will be Marching In the Fremont Memorial Day Parade on Wednesday the 28th there is a high school student council kayak trip Thursday May 29th the first grade music will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. in the 38 gym the pre-k through 12th grade district art show will be happening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. outside the High School auditorium that night on Tuesday June 3rd the high school concert will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the High School auditorium on June 5th the first grade field trip to Buck Brook alpacas will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. also the band information meeting will take place in the band room from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the elementary the senior class trip will take place from the 5th to the 9th enjoy your time away June 6th the 4th grade field trip to Fort Delaware Museum will take place for 9:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. also that day the third grade field trip to Meyers Century Farm is from 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that night the ninth grade dance will happen and the 10th massage from fifth grade musical will happen in the 38th gym from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. the FFA maker will take place at night at 6:00 p.m. June 11th Miss Schumacher's fourth grade musical will take place in the 38 from 9:30 to 10:10 a.m. modified sports awards will take place at 6:15 p.m. in the High School auditorium the JV and Varsity Sports Awards will take place at 7:00 p.m. that night also in the auditorium Western Solomon ESO jumpstart soccer program for players entering seventh through ninth grade it starts July 8th for more information you can go to parents Square and now let's go to did you know follow by bad joke theater since we are approaching Memorial Day it is a topic of our did you know this week did you know that Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day Memorial Day is said to have began as a southern holiday celebrating African-American Freedom the holiday was not official until 1968 after World War I Memorial Day was expanded to honor all soldiers who have died in American wars in 1971 the date became known as all day the holiday moved to the last Monday in May by the 1968 uniform Monday holiday act which was passed to your Curry a 3-day weekend for federal employees and now for that joke deer hey have you ever wondered what bees wear when it's raining no but what do they wear they wear yellow jackets well on the other hand I learned what the sunlight to use to listen to his favorite type of music you mean the Sun in the sky yeah what does he use he uses his radio hey why are frogs so happy I don't know why are they they eat whatever bugs them well speaking of jumping I've actually been washing my trampoline I've been doing some spring cleaning great job Ethan and Ryan that's all for this year's video Club broadcast I'm Evan signing off
